Community Energy England is looking for a new Capacity Building Officer to help their members grow their skills, share knowledge, and strengthen the community energy movement.
Over the next few years, the community energy sector will be playing a big role in delivering the UK’s Local Power Plan and Clean Power Mission. CEE’s members already have amazing experience running projects – your job will be to help unlock that potential, make connections, and share learning so more communities can take action.
In this role, you’ll:
- Organise and run training, workshops, and events (online and in person)
- Create helpful resources like guides, videos, and case studies
- Support CEE’s member working groups and help connect skilled practitioners
- Collect and share data, stories, and evidence to support funding and policy change
- Build relationships with councils, funders, developers, and other key partners
You don’t need to know everything about community energy, but you should be a confident communicator, enjoy bringing people together, and be organised enough to juggle different projects.
