Hammersmith and Fulham Community Energy have launched their first ever share offer. They are aiming to raise £106,500 in order to bring the 270 solar panels that were installed onto the roof of the Jack Tizard School in 2024 into community ownership.
The panels have a capacity of 119kWp and will save 446 tonnes of carbon emissions over their lifetime as well as saving the schools money on their electricity bills – up to £2,000 per year.
The electricity generated will be sold to the school at a 10% discount whilst any surplus will be sold to the National Grid. Any income generated will be used to repay investors (with a return) and create a Community Fund which will benefit the local community.

Minimum investment: £100 or £50 for H&F residents
Maximum investment: £10,650
Residents can also join Hammersmith & Fulham Community Energy as Community Members for £1 and will have the same voting power but will not earn interest.
Estimated return: 3% pa
Lifetime of the project: 15 years
This share offer will close at 11:59pm on 1st September 2025. If the target is reached before this date the offer will be closed.
