Sydney was very involved with the formation of CEL, helping out with admin and contributing to CEL evolution and strategy. She has been the Secretary of CEL since November 2017 and brings her experience of the en10ergy solar projects and Highgate Society Sustainable Living group projects into CEL. Her passion is to do all she can to counter the dangers of climate damage, particularly since the birth of grandchildren. Sydney responds to consultations on UK energy with this in mind, particularly those with Community involvement, as only the public has the power to stand up to the fossil fuel dark forces. Members of CEL have vital knowledge and experience of working with people in their areas on renewable energy and energy efficient homes. With the new 2024 Government Sydney is hopeful that the Community Energy sector in London will be supported to grow exponentially and she will do everything possible to enable the sector to thrive.
