Nadia is a freelance community energy practitioner and joined as a Director of Community Energy London (CEL) in July 2021. She has worked in the renewable energy sector for over 8 years on a variety of projects from large scale solar, to domestic retrofit services. She has a keen understanding of renewable energy policy as well as project development. She recently led on the development of a retrofit advice service for homeowners and landlords in the private sector, and also developed a new business model for community LED Lighting retrofit in community buildings. Currently, she works with a number of community energy groups across London in project development. Nadia is also Co-Chair of South East London Community Energy (SELCE), one of the leading community energy enterprises in fuel poverty alleviation services, as well as sitting on the advisory board of the Energy Learning Network. Nadia is keen for CEL to support key stakeholders such as local authorities in their understanding and integration of community energy into their carbon reduction activities, to continue sharing learnings across community energy groups, and has a commitment to aim to diversify the sector.
