Power Up North London Launches Shareoffer!
Power Up North London (PUNL) has launched their latest share offer to raise £80,000 for their latest project.
PUNL is working in collaboration with Camden Council for this project – which is a great example to the rest of London – and you can access the press release here: https://news.camden.gov.uk/camden-community-partnership-helping-to-reduce-co2-emissions/
“Tackling the climate emergency is a priority in Camden. We have committed to do all that we can to make Camden a zero-carbon borough by 2030 and declared a climate emergency in 2019.
“This however is an ambitious target that we will not be able to achieve alone, therefore partnerships like this with Power Up North London, will be vital in helping us achieve our goals.”
Councillor Adam Harrison, Cabinet member for a Sustainable Camden
When they are successful in raising the necessary capital they aim to install 83kWp pv solar panels on the roof of the Talacre Community Sports Centre in Camden.
These panels are estimated to save the centre over a third of their annual usage, generate 68MWh of electricity and save 12 tonnes of CO2 each year.
The share offer is open until the 20th March 2023 unless the target is reached earlier or the offer is extended.
